Hudson Cottage consists of a spacious sitting room, fully equipped kitchen, dining room and family bathroom on the ground floor.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms – one double with en-suite and one twin bedded room. All rooms have traditional features, yet decorated in a bright, neutral modern style.
Outside, Hudson Cottage has its own garden, complete with wooden patio furniture, parasol and BBQ.
There is ample parking on the gravelled driveway for two cars, plus a bike park for cycles.

The Platelayers
R&B’s Tuck Shop
The tuck shop is open to visitors to both Hudson and Stephenson cottage, where you can purchase a range of essential toiletries, drinks, snacks and disposable BBQs.
Bags of bird nuts are also available.
We offer Yorkshire produce, including Trillos ice-cream made in Whitby… all payable on a honesty basis. A price list is displayed on the wall in the tuck shop with an honesty box on the counter top.
If you are wondering what the R&B stands for in the title – ‘R&B’s Tuck Shop – Its the initials of the owners, children, Rosy and Bobby.
Log Burning Stoves
The cottages both benefit from oil fired central heating throughout and each cottage has a log burning stove in the lounge for chilly evenings.
A supply of logs is provided for you on arrival.
